While I have not posted in quite some time, I have nevertheless been building sites and my empire.
One of the consequences of building an empire is the inevitable accumulation of domains that one does not put to use. I now have close to 300 domains that I am not using and have decided to part with some of them. Following is a list of those domains and some key variables that I use to value them.
All of the following domains are for sale at Snap Names. Snap Names is an auction platform for aftermarket and expired domains run by Oversee.net which also runs the award winning domain registration service called Moniker (and I will write more about that later). You need to register with Snap Names, but the registration is free. To bid on the domains once registered, just search the domain name and click on the button that shows the domain is in auction or is available.
Anyway, here we go with my first effort to clear out some domains that I have been holding for some time. All are registered at Moniker. If you win the auction, Snap Names will automatically create a Moniker account for you should you not already have one..

The default tool that most webmasters use is the domain availability search form on their favorite registrar. If the domain name they have imagined or keyword they have typed in is not available, the search function will return a limited number of suggested alternatives. They problem with these registrar based domain search utilities is that the range of alternatives that are returned are extremely limited.
Experienced webmasters have all developed some of their own methods to solving this problem. Many use selected online utilities to assist with this effort. The best online utilities that we have found for finding available domains include the following:

The first thing that any webmaster whether they be a newbie or an experienced webmaster needs to think about upon deciding on a new project is a domain registration. Domain registration and the selection of a domain name can be a critical step in the success of a new online adult project, and there are as many approaches to this as there are domain registrants.
In fact, often times finding a domain name and selecting a niche are often inextricably linked, which leads to the two major strains of belief amongst adult webmasters in their approach to conceptual development and domain name selection. On the one hand, there are those who believe that the concept is key and the domain name is near irrelevant as it is the promotional skill in developing the domain as a destination that is key. On the other hand are those who believe that a domain name that is keyword based is absolutely critical to the success of a project, particularly for a traffic/affiliate based program.
The reality is that both approaches are part of the tool box and elements of a successful web promotional strategy…..
